Jiangjunshan International Ski Resort

Altay's flagship ski area—city and slopes in one frame, day and night

About

North of downtown Altay, Jiangjunshan faces Tuofeng Mountain across the Kran River—the signature ski destination of China's Snow Capital. Fine natural powder and easy city access cover beginners to advanced riders, day sessions to night skiing; off-season, ride the gondola for valley and city panoramas.

In winter, explore groomed runs, terrain parks, and night skiing; the summit viewpoint is classic for city-and-mountain photos. In summer and autumn, hike, picnic, and shoot—some dining and leisure facilities stay open year-round.

Best snow is usually November–March, with December–February most reliable. Check ticket and lift hours in advance; dress warmly for night skiing. Pair with Kran riverside walks or 500-Li Street for a half- to full-day plan.
